The Science Center hosts a monthly educational program geared towards homeschooling families. Home School Classroom is held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, unless otherwise noted.
Home School Classrooms include:
- Educational science presentations
- Fun and repeatable activities
- Free-play in the museum
The theme of the program changes monthly, and  March's month's theme is "Wheel & Axle."
Home School Classroom programs are open to all families, not just those that home school.
Each Home School Classroom Class is split into two sessions:
- Session 1 begins at 1:00 pm and is geared toward students Pre-k to age 8.
- Session 2 begins at 2:00 pm and is geared toward students age 9 and up.
Note: the age range describes the how the material will be presented and if you think your child would do better in a different session or can’t attend at that time, let us know and we can work with you.
There is a $5 admission per child, with a $15 cap for families with more than 3 participants.
Registration is required and can be made by phone at 618.529.5431, or online at Eventbrite.com/TheScienceCenter
PLEASE NOTE **There is a $1.27 fee per ticket to register online. To avoid the fee, you may come to TSC or call the center at 618-529-5431 with your credit card ready.**
