Regional CCR&R agencies maintain a comprehensive database of early childhood education and care providers in their designated region. Trained Child Care Counselors can do a search specific to a family's needs. More than names and phone numbers, CCR&R staff can provide families with information about rates, teacher qualifications, and participation in the state's Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)
In addition to providing early care and education resources, CCR&Rs administers the Illinois Department of Human Service's (IDHS) Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) to families. This program provides low-income, working families with access to quality, affordable child care.
