Located at 901 West Pleasant Hill Road and adjacent to the Carbondale Reservoir, picturesque Evergreen Park offers playground equipment, natural areas, hiking/walking, fishing, picnicking, shelters, BBQ grills, baseball and softball fields, parking, drinking fountains. Restrooms are available from Spring until cold weather arrives.
Turley Park
Includes bbq grills, drinking fountain, flower bed, game tables, parking, picnicking, playground, restrooms, and shelters. Located at 1010 North Glenview, beautiful Turley Park offers playground equipment, shelters, parking, flower beds, game tables, picnicking, restrooms and drinking fountains.
Boo Castle Park
3100 Homewood Dr, Carbondale Illinois
Boo Castle Park is a privately owned memorial park open to the public for free from 9 am to sunset daily unless weather prohibits. We have a large castle maze structure and many sculptures, including dragons, wizards, and trolls throughout the park. Porta Potties available
Boo Castle Park Rules:
• No Alcohol, Drugs, Smoking or Firearms allowed on park grounds
• NO Climbing of Castle Walls or the Bell Tower
• No Grills allowed on park grounds
• All pets must be on a leash and well maintained at all times and
you must clean up any poo piles
• Please provide adult supervision for minors at all times
• Use the porta-potties for evacuation of all bodily fluids

Greenbrier
This beautiful Carterville park includes a community center, baseball field, skate park, walking path that surrounds a fishing pond, volleyball courts (sand), playground, pavilion, gazebo, and memorial garden. Ballfields and shelters can be reserved. Cannon Park also offers two handicap accessible pieces of playground equipment. A swing set and “ten spin” were installed to help make the park all-inclusive for children. Directions from Rt. 13
– Head north on Greenbriar Road (near John A. Logan Community College).
– Staying on Greenbriar, pass over Grand Avenue.
– Park is 0.1 miles to the right.

The city’s oldest park includes four baseball fields, a pavilion, playground, and batting cages. Basketball courts are adjacent to the park at the Carterville Intermediate School.
