What started out as a kickoff event for Child Abuse Prevention month in 2003, has now become a Perry County tradition .For the past fourteen years, the Perry-Jackson Child Advocacy Center has hosted a community Family Fun day in recognition of child abuse prevention month and to help promote health children and families. With help from other agencies, community businesses, and organizations, the Perry-Jackson Child Advocacy Center promises a fun event for all. This year's event is scheduled for Saturday April 8th from 11am - 2pm at the Perry County Fairgrounds Grandstand and Exhibit Hallin Pinckneyville. The Fairgrounds are located at 041 Secretary Rd, Pinckneyville, IL 62274 The event is FREE and includes, food , drinks , door prizes, and activities for all ages. Professor Play, a local favorite will be there to do balloon art and face painting. activities for all ages. All families are invited to come and join the fun. The Perry-Jackson Child Advocacy Center provides support services and a coordinated investigation to children birth through age 17 who live in Perry or Jackson County who have been victims of sexual and/or serious physical abuse.Their mission is to coordinate a timely, comprehensive, and multi-disciplinary response to child sexual abuse and serious physical abuse allegations in a safe, agency neutral, child focused setting.
