Characters To Come Alive in Suessical Jr

Presented by local organization Artstarts, local performers display their talents while portraying the characters from the familiar Dr. Seuss fables in the upcoming production of Suessical Jr. One of the most performed shows in America, Seussical is fun for the whole family!  It brings to life everyone's favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie and a little boy with a big imagination – Jojo. The colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos. Public Shows are scheduled for March 31st & April 1st at 7pm, April 2nd at 2pm.. Artstarts Company is a Southern Illinois based, non-profit charitable organization devoted to making the "Arts" accessible to all Southern Illinois children. They connect the community through the arts and help young artists astound the world by sharing what they are capable of becoming.

Artstarts goal is to provide opportunities in the arts to a diverse population with the goal of including those who do not now participate in art programs due to cultural or economic barriers.
