Franklin County
Toys for Tots started taking names November 1st!!! 5 counties: jackson, williamson, union, Franklin, saline! Several pickup locations in December. Call Mon-Fri 9-4 618-303-0149 Sesser Valier Sesser Valier School District Christmas Assistance Program for kids attending school in the district was offered in 2023, check with the school district to see if there is the same program in 2024. . Sesser Shop with a Hero It is that time of year to start planning on our City's Fire and Police Department's Christmas outreach (SHOP WITH A HERO) for kids in our community that might need supported during the Christmas Season. If you would like to sign up a child or donate to the event please contact city hall by coming by Monday thru Friday, 9-5 pm. There is a sign up list at city hall and contributions can be made too. Sesser Giving Tree Fund for Low income families The Giving Tree Fund is taking application for low income families in our area. Applications due by December 1st Du Quoin Police Department is now accepting applications for Shop with a Cop. The deadline to turn in applications is Friday, December 1st. Applications can be picked up at DQPD or you can print the image, fill it out, and turn it in. Applications MUST be turned in in person at DQPD by the deadline to be considered. This application does not guarantee that your children will be selected for participation in the program this year. Parents will be notified of acceptance by phone. Therefore, please make sure that your phone number is correct on the application, and you answer when you receive a call from us.
To request a toy for Toy For Tots the Hope Center will take request every WEDNESDAY in November starting at 9am. The Hope Center located at 23 West Cherry in Albion. We wil also have a special sign up on Saturday November 19th at 9am

FoodPlease sign up for assistance from only one agency. November 26th Saline County Harrisburg Turkey Giveaway at Heaven's Kitchen State Sen. Dale Fowler and Meridian will be giving away Thanksgiving turkeys on Tuesday, Nov. 26, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Heaven’s Kitchen, located in the First Presbyterian Church Annex Building, on West Locust Street in Harrisburg.
