Little Grassy Get Down
Little Grassy Get Down is a family-friendly music festival featuring mostly original acoustic Americana music from around the Midwest. The festival welcomes back The Woodbox Gang, and new to the festival is the Vince Herman Band! We’re also gettin’ down with Chicago Farmer & The Fieldnotes, The Burney Sisters, Chain Station, Taylor Steele & The Love Preachers, The People vs Hugh DeNeal, The Gruesomes, Dan and Alex, Carter and Connelley, and LoveSeat!!
TICKETS: Options range from a VIP weekend getaway to festival day passes – kids under 15 are free with a paying adult.
Vienna- Johnson County Fall Fest
This year, the festival will be open from 5 - 9 p.m. on Friday, October 6, and 11 am - 8 pm on Saturday, October 7. Everyone is welcome to attend.
There will be activities and entertainment for all ages. Throughout the next few weeks, you'll find information here about games, activities, music, food trucks, craft vendors, contests, and more. We will also share information about the parade that is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, October 7 as well as the first-ever "Johnson County's Got Talent" scheduled for late that afternoon.
Rosiclare-Fluorspar Festival
Celebrate the influences brought to the area by the Fluorspar Mining Industry. Rosiclare was once considered the Fluorspar Capital of the world and Fluorspar is still the state mineral. Enjoy a pageant, pet parade, carnival, contests, car/motorcycle show, food and craft vendors, open house at the American Flourite Museum, live entertainment, fireworks, and more! Buffalo Day, an event that happens twice a year, is an extremely important day for both us and the animals. It is a day in which we assess the animals, get their weights, tag this year's calves, and give the animals any help they may require before releasing them back out on pasture to roam.

The event will take place on Saturday, October 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 22 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. There will be vendors, food trucks various family activities, and an entry fee of $5 per car, with payment at the gate. Guided says they are excited to welcome back the Hileman Family with their horse and carriage rides on Saturday, along with musical guests Tim Lehner and Chris Long who will perform between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
On Sunday, Guined says they will host gospel musicians from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Artists include Maida and Dan Carson, Roger Crews, Saviors Call, Gary Roach, and The Cypress Creek Boys Quartet, whose bass singer holds the Guinness Book of World Records lowest bass note ever.
